“Painting only what
excites me, it is my desire that the viewer will see some of the
beauty and fascination in each subject of the work as I tell its
story.”
As a young child of
seven, Sandra began with pencil in hand to craft objects of
interest. At the age of twelve her talent was recognized and Sandra
was awarded a scholarship to the Art Institute of Chicago. Sandra’s
artistic desire grew into an unyielding enthusiasm with the
progressive studying.
In 1984 Sandra and her
spouse moved to Tucson, Arizona. Enchanted with the light and the
striking landscape she could not resist the opportunity to paint the
beauty before her. For the past ten years Sandra has been living
her dream, totally committed to her passion. Sandra has studied
with Scott Christensen, Matt Smith, Daniel E.Green, Greg Kreutz,
David A. Leffel, Sherrie Mc Graw, Joyce Pike and various teachers at
the Tucson Museum of Art School. Paintings by Sandra hang in
private collections across the United States. |
